The FAMiLY LEADER is a non-profit organization that relies entirely upon God’s provision through private donors for its success.  While TFL has a close association with Focus on the Family, it receives no funding support from that organization.

We will never encourage donors to support The FAMiLY LEADER before or in place of their biblical responsibility to support the local church.  We believe that the church is where family support and family responsibility should and must begin.

The operations of The FAMiLY LEADER are supported by individual donors who can contribute smaller sums on a regular basis and major donors who can make substantial contributions.  We ask for your financial support at whatever level and at whatever frequency God leads you to give.

Donor FAQ’s:

Can you explain why there are multiple organizations to which to donate?
Because of the IRS and our status as a non-profit ministry, our activities are highly regulated.  We are required to keep separate records and therefore must have separate organizations.

Which organization should I make my check out to for the greatest impact?
We can have the maximum amount of cultural influence if you write your check to The FAMiLY LEADER.

How do I know my money is being put to good use?
The FAMiLY LEADER is extremely efficient with donations.  We have personnel who are highly talented and receive lower salaries as compared to peer groups.  Members of our staff are clearly driven by factors other than compensation.  We make every effort to keep our operating and administrative costs to a minimum.  We partner with pastors and other organizations to multiply our efforts.  We benefit from a multitude of volunteers who enthusiastically dedicate their time.  We also hire a third party firm to conduct an audit every year to ensure proper and responsible management of funds.

Why would I give to the Iowa Family PAC instead of directly to a candidate?
We certainly support individual donations to Christian candidates.  However, our PAC dollars have the maximum impact overall to the issues you care about because of our ability to assess political races statewide.

How do I qualify for a tax-deductible charitable donation?
Write the check out to either The FAMiLY LEADER Foundation or Marriage Matters.  Even though The FAMiLY LEADER benefits the most from non tax-deductible donations, we understand there are situations when tax deductions are beneficial.
