The Slippery Slope

 

What is the Slippery Slope? The online free dictionary says it is “a tricky, precarious situation, especially one that leads gradually to disaster”. For civic-minded Christians who claim that God’s Word is the final truth, “the slippery slope” describes socially acceptable modern day sin that, if not halted, will drive our culture into further moral decay.

 

As Paul warns in 2 Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.”

 

Some have made the prediction that pedophilia will be normalized within the next ten years.  Most say, “No way – that will never happen!”.  Well…click here to take a look at this FOX News video and article about a group of psychologists pushing to change the definition of pedophilia.  This is perfect evidence of the slippery slope leading to the further decline and deterioration of our culture.
