Special group rate: if you’d like to stay overnight when you join us for the Summit, we have a block of rooms at a special rate for you at the Hilton Des Moines Downtown hotel. These rooms are being held at $119/night (first come, first served). To reserve a room please call the hotel directly and request the “Family Leader” group block rate.  Map

Venue Parking
There is a large lot on North side. You will need cash – not debit card, to enter the gates. There is also parking along the streets of Downtown Des Moines.

Restrooms are located on the north side of the building at the back of the ballroom.

Photography is allowed in the auditorium as long as it is not a distraction.

Mobile Phones
Please silence your cell phones at all times while in the main auditorium, but please feel free to Tweet and Facebook about the Summit using #FLS21 . Please step out of the main ballroom to take calls.

There will be many wonderful exhibitors and booths at the Summit located outside of the ballroom. Please take time to visit our exhibitors throughout the day.

Boxed lunches will be provided for those not participating in one of the private luncheons. No outside food is allowed.

ADA Accessible Instructions
Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center is an ADA accessible building. There is an elevator to take guests up to the ballroom level from the ground floor. Wheelchairs are also available upon request.

First Aid
There will be a first aid rep on site. Please find a staff member if you need assistance. Call 911 in an emergency.

Wristbands and lanyards will be required each time you enter the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center.

What time does the Summit start?

The Summit starts at 9 a.m. Doors open to the public at 8 a.m.

What is the schedule for the day?

We are still ironing out the details of the day, and will post a schedule soon.

Is there adequate parking?

Yes, there is parking at the center for $10 cash or credit. There is also parking along the streets of Downtown Des Moines.

Will there be any opportunity to interact with the featured speakers?

Some speakers will be available after they speak.

Will there be snacks and drinks available throughout the conference?


Can I bring my own food in from the outside?

No outside food may be brought in.

What happens if I can only attend part of the all-day conference?

You will still need to register for your ticket, but you may come and go during the day as you need.

Are cameras allowed and can I take pictures?

Yes, still cameras are allowed and you may take photos with your smartphone, but no video cameras will be allowed except as authorized by The FAMiLY LEADER.

How do I buy tickets to the Summit?

Click HERE to purchase tickets and/or to donate so that a pastor can attend at no cost.

Can I buy a ticket the day of the event?

Yes, if the event has not sold out.

What if I need special accommodations?

May I bring small children?

Children are welcome, but as a courtesy to other attendees, please bring only children of appropriate age who are equipped to sit through the entire Summit without being disruptive. Moms who are nursing are welcome to attend, but unfortunately, there will be no special nursing rooms available. Children 12+ will need a ticket purchased.
