BVP's Top 3: The 3 C’s for Hiring, Analyzing the Ads, and Resources for Biblical Engagement

Breaking down this week’s biggest takeaways and what’s coming next.

BIG IDEA: OWN UP TO IT.

My top 3 takeaways this week as we navigate the news media landscape:

1. THE 3 C's FOR HIRING ANYONE:

In Iowa, we understand that choosing a candidate is like hiring someone for the most important job. Much like hiring for The FAMiLY LEADER, we use the “3 C’s”:

Character: Do they have integrity? A person can have character but lack competency.

Competency: Are they capable of fulfilling the role? Can they truly govern?

Chemistry: Are they the right person for such a time as this?

This isn’t just about Mark Robinson and his candidacy—this is about every leader. The media is creating narratives, whether it’s CNN or Mark Robinson. But our job is to vet each candidate thoroughly.

2. ANALYZING THE CURRENT ADS (KAMALA & MILLER-MEEKS)

Take a look at the current ads—Miller-Meeks is facing attacks from all sides, especially for her qualified pro-life stance. Most believe, if she stands 60-80% with us, that’s good enough. Now, she needs to learn from Governor Reynolds’ who decided long ago to lead with bold conservatism. That way if they’re going to shoot at you, and they will, they might as well attack you for pursuing the right agenda.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris is wasting money in Iowa, taking a page from Hillary Clinton’s failed playbook. She must believe the Des Moines Register’s recent narrative poll. In an effort to expand the electoral map, she may just end up losing real toss up states.

3. RESOURCES TO BIBLICALLY ENGAGE YOUR CONGREGATION

Now more than ever, pastors need to biblically engage their congregations. Be encouraged by the leadership of godly pastors, and visit ChooseWell2024.com to see how you can make a difference. It’s time for us to stand together and make a change.

The political battles are heating up, but we must remain steadfast. Let’s continue to stay informed and engaged as we work to protect our values in this critical election season.
