URBANDALE, Iowa – Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited the offices of The FAMiLY Leader on Friday, Oct. 21, 2022.
Pompeo's visit included discussions with friends and supporters of The FAMiLY Leader, as well as a recorded interview with TFL President and CEO Bob Vander Plaats.
“It’s a pleasure and honor to speak with Former Secretary Pompeo,” Vander Plaats said. “In his previous roles serving as a U.S. congressman, director of the CIA, and cabinet member, Pompeo has accumulated a tremendous wealth of experience and knowledge, and his insight into our federal government and international affairs is profound.
“Our team and attendees today were beyond blessed to have open and frank discussions with Pompeo about our nation and its role in the world,” Vander Plaats concluded.
This marked Pompeo’s second visit to The FAMiLY Leader’s headquarters, and the former secretary has twice been a featured speaker at The FAMiLY Leadership Summit in Des Moines, in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
