Urbandale, IOWA – The FAMiLY Leader condemns the attack upon Des Moines’ Agape Pregnancy Resource Center by pro-abortion vandals on June 2, 2022.
“This irrational attack on the Agape Pregnancy Center in Des Moines reveals that pro-abortion extremists care far more about abortion than they care about women,” says Bob Vander Plaats, president and CEO of The FAMiLY Leader. “For the Agape Center has nothing to do with the politics of abortion; it exists only to serve and care for women in need. Agape gives pregnant women a safe place to go for help, offers counseling and emotional support, and provides baby supplies, clothing, ultrasounds, and free health services. Agape is a desperately needed support link for Iowa’s new and expecting mothers and will continue to be so regardless of what happens in the abortion debate.”
